R+T= Love

I was watching Oprah one day, her guest was a panel of 3 women and one man. This one man said the the key to catching your “dream man” was to be dressed at all times…meaning you have to be on point looking GOOD. So Gail King (she was on the panel of women) asked even when I’m in the grocery store or working out, he said “ABSOLUTELY” you never know when you will run into the man of you dreams. Well ladies I am hear to tell that this couple is a prime example of why his thinking is all WRONG. Ms. T wakes up bright and early in morning (around 5:30) to work out with a friend and I am sure she did not have a face full of make-up when she met Mr. R. Right there in the gym is where he asked in so many words “Can I get to know you better?” her answer “Yes” and from there a wonderful relationship was formed.
When she talks about her love for him a gentle tear drops and big smile appears, I am honored to be chosen to photograph their upcoming special day.

This is my favorite, you can just see the moment that was shared…I am glad I was able to capture it.

Giving Back

I had the pleasure of spending the day with ITT’s AES division as they volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia. They had over 40 volunteers show up ready to work bright and early on Saturday July 19th and I must say it was HOT by 9. Demolition was the name of the game…..no fancy frame work or beautiful painting to be done, this group was so great that site manger stood beside me and said “I didn’t expect this, everyone is working so hard and fast. We may finish early!!!!”
That’s exactly what happen by lunch both huge trash cans were full and over half the building was completed, all they needed was another can or two to complete the job in one day.

If you are unfamiliar with Habitat for Humanity check them out at http://www.habitatnova.org/ , this is the Northern Virginia division but they also do work in Maryland and Washington DC. Also if you or your company would like to volunteer or sponsor a house in the Northern Virginia area, contact Megan Coleman at mcoleman@habitatnova.com or 703-521-9890 ext. 11.
